Where should a key safe be installed?

A key safe can be useful for carers, trades, short-term access, and emergencies, but placement and code management decide whether it is practical.

The safe needs a secure mounting surface. Weak fences, thin trim, or loose masonry can make even good hardware easier to remove.

The safe should be reachable by authorised people without drawing attention from the street or from common walking paths.

A shared code should be changed when tenants, staff, carers, or contractors no longer need access.
