Better key control for small businesses

Small businesses often grow into key problems slowly. Staff changes, copied keys, shared access, and unmanaged back doors can make it unclear who can enter the premises.

List the doors, gates, cupboards, and restricted areas that matter. This makes it easier to decide whether a simple rekey, keyed alike setup, restricted key system, or master key plan is suitable.

If keys are lost, not returned, or copied without a clear record, rekeying affected locks can restore control without replacing every lock body.

The best setup is one the team can follow consistently. Too many keys can create confusion, while too little separation can create unnecessary access risk.
